Much like Hidden Stories, you could also find these Lost Archives scattered across The Cage and it'd take a lot of work to find them. Unlike Lost Archives, these instead are focused on The Cage itself and its workings instead of the people; what will we find within these old records?

Re: Activities carried out by army survey corps.
Discovered doors of varying sizes in the facility, reportedly of a type common
overseas. We were unable to open them after countless attempts. Eventually
surmised they were bolted from the other side and began an investigation.
One soldier eventually succeeded in opening a door. After questioning, he
claimed it simply slid open as he approached, as if it had been waiting for
him.
Is someone deliberately controlling when they open?
It's a leap, I know, but after several days of wandering this unusual facility,
I am beginning to consider such things.
Tomorrow's objective: Initiate test to see if doors can be destroyed with small
explosives.

Army survey corps returning to field camp today. Consider this a consolidated
9-day report.
Finally succeeded in operating the lever we'd been puzzling over. It took five
of our strongest men to operate, and we estimate it was not meant for use by a
single human. Still, with the path open, we can continue our search for an
exit. All troops relieved. Morale improved.
We still have one question regarding the lever: Why is it on this side
of the path? If it's meant for defense, it should be on the other side. It's
almost as though it is inviting intrusion.
Lost several men due to a fall. More said they spotted something floating
behind us.
Query: Are there native residents in this facility? If so, I would very much
like to ask for their assistance.

Our usual writer is unwell today, so I'm taking over. Er, I'm the
quartermaster, by the way.
So, have we written about the pedestals yet? They cause strange effects
whenever someone touches one.
Speaking of, why is such an ancient structure fitted with all these futuristic
fixtures? I mean, even the transporters are an unknown technology. Everyone is
afraid of how smart this enemy seems to be, myself included.
Okay, so I'm just spitballing here, but perhaps the transporters were added
after the fact to move things that couldn't be carried by normal means? (Er, is
this the kind of thing we're supposed to record to begin with?)
Oh, one more thing: When we tried to use one, one of our soldiers was suddenly
enveloped in light and then vanished. We've now restricted the use of all these
things until we can figure out the cause.

DOCUMENT SUMMARY: Intermediary report regarding the stairs, which were
previously unevaluated.
The stairs have proved to be an even greater source of trouble in our
exploration of the facility. We have discovered spiraling staircases, some of
which act as bridges between landings. We intend to continue our investigation
as best we can while being wary of falling to our deaths.
Some members of the corps believe the stairs were constructed to deliberately
funnel travelers around things someone does not want them to see. But in my
estimation, the stairs exist to lead people like us who have becomes lost
within this facility. My reasoning behind this theory is simple: The door we
must proceed through is always at the top of the stairs.
Tomorrow's objectives: Regular meeting with quartermaster, manage other jobs.

Dear Sister,
I found myself alone in a strange place. I can't go home, but I'm not sad,
because I've become friends with a bunch of cute black birds. They're
everywhere, and some of them even TALK to me! I named one of the ones who
talked to me after you, which helps me pretend like you're right here with me.
Still, I wish I could see you for real. I wonder if the witch trials you saw
will be here too?

Dear Sister,
I'm still in the castle place. Last time I wrote there was a dark monster here,
remember? I was so scared of it — I hated it. But today, I saw something
amazing: all the black birds came together and turned into one of the monsters!
I figured since the black birds are my friends, maybe I could be friends with
the monster too. But when I asked my best friend that (the bird I named after
you), it said I shouldn't. Ha! That bird is JUST like you.
I miss you tons. Are you having fun with the lord you married?

Dear Sister,
I can't hold it in anymore. The truth is that I'm scared—I'm SO scared and I
want to go home as soon as possible.
This place is like a maze, and the only thing here are a bunch of dark
monsters. Some are shaped like people, and others look like little animals. For
a minute I thought maybe I could be friends with them, but I just...I can't.
Their eyes are too scary. Staring into them is like staring into a deep and
stagnant swamp—and when I noticed the black birds have the exact same eyes as the
monsters I got even more scared and...
No. Sorry. I'm...I'm doing great. I'm having so much fun here. I'm having the
greatest time! I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm okay.

Dear Sister,
This is my first letter to you in a long time. My head has been so fuzzy
lately.
Why did you leave the house again? To go to the witch trials? Because you
married a nice lord? Were you training to be a policewoman? I have so many
memories now, and I can't remember which ones are real.
But I know the nice black birds showed all of these memories to me. You're
always smiling in them.
You're always laughing.
